Job Description:

Widely respected, growing restaurant group is looking for an Event Sales Manager to join their team. This is a highly sales-oriented role, and candidates must have strong ties to the community and an established book of business. Looking for someone with established relationships and the ability to sell and field inquiries from intimate dining to large buyouts, generate significant new business, and remain highly organized in all aspects. This is not a remote position and the Event Sales Manager will need to be able to work in-person out of the corporate office in West Hollywood. Weekday oriented schedule Monday-Friday! Event Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling all private functions, including meeting with clients to determine needs, meeting those needs, and exceeding their expectations through detailed communication
  • Networking inside and outside the Restaurant Group to obtain leads and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Develop long-term operational strategies
  • Drive event sales and business throughout the year
  • Liaising with all duty managers, venue managers, cleaning, and maintenance staff for event preparation details when necessary
  • Handling and resolving customer issues and complaints appropriately
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service to all members, patrons, and visitors
  • Responsible at all times for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all
  • Participate in regular departmental progress meetings
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and prospective members
  • Maintain communication with the client customer throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event)
  • Attend events and other off-site functions as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years as an Event Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, Events/Catering Operations Manager, or comparable management role within a full service, upscale dining establishment or restaurant group
  • Strong rolodex of connections within the Los Angeles community is REQUIRED
  • Solid understanding of event revenue generation
  • Proven track record of sales performance along with marketing/prospecting programs that drive event revenue
  • Proven ability in leadership, communication, and negotiating skills
  • High energy and outgoing personality
  • Organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Excel
  • Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with FOH and BOH team, clientele, and vendors
  • Knowledge of basic safety, health and sanitation standards
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Must be able to work in-person out of the corporate office in West Hollywood

Compensation Package Includes:

  • TOTAL COMPENSATION in the $100-130k range DOE (base salary + monthly commission)
