Title: Event Sales Manager

Job Purpose

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating events at Drive Shack by prospecting for new corporate and social event opportunities and converting incoming leads to booked events.

Responsibilties

  • Sell and coordinate events from booking to communicating details to the venues management teams, ensuring each client has a unique and memorable event
  • Prepare sales reports to present to Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly)
  • Proactively prospect and introduce new event business opportunities
  • Work directly with various members of the Operations Team and National Sales Diretors on areas of opportunity to further enhance the guest experience and profitability
  • Generate and support programs to drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and fun
  • Responsible for knowing assigned local markets for both corporate and social event opportunities
  • Maximize revenues through upselling techniques
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

  • Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Ensure that guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service
  • Establish rapport with Drive Shack guests and promote prompt, courteous, efficient guest services
  • Represent Drive Shack by joining and participating in local community organizations
  • Attend networking events, trade shows and expos at least once a month
  • Maintain a safe working environment for you and your employees at all times, understand and enforce safe work practices in a fair and consistent fashion.
Qualifications:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum three (3) years event sales
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with managing inventory and cost control is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; restaurant specific software including point-of-sale registers and business metric applications)

Education

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Culinary/Hospitality Management Degree or Apprenticeship Program preferred
