This position reports to the assigned demographic pastor. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the assigned demographic pastor in promoting the mission/vision of their assigned area to volunteers, parents, and students.
  • Assist and coordinate all aspects of student ministries special events including, but not limited to contracts, venue selection, catering, decorations, volunteers, equipment rental, and necessary production elements.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of event budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Oversee the set up and break down of special events, ensuring that all details align with vision and mission of the assigned demographic pastor.
  • Uses project management tools and software to coordinate all special events, services, projects, and initiatives for assigned areas and provide support for KCM projects as needed.
  • Responsible for advertising and communicating through every available voice to attract attendees and increase participation for special events.
  • Maintains files with pertinent event information (including, but not limited to schedules, meeting notes, lessons learned, time allocations, etc.) for future reference.
  • Delegates special event assignments to team members and ensures all tasks are completed according to the timeline.
  • Attends and facilitates assigned demographic programming and special events.
  • Recruit, train, and build relationship with volunteers as it pertains to special events.
  • Follow all Student Ministries, OSHA, Ministry Safe, and classroom procedures, and ensure volunteers are familiar with them.
  • Demonstrates a servant's heart and consistent customer service towards the people they serve.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education:
  • High School graduate or GED required. College degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Previous experience coordinating events and services
  • Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Understanding of project management and of general administration principles
  • Ability to type 40 wpm or more
Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, vendors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in event planning software or tools is preferred.
  • Experience in budgeting for events to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Ability to provide outstanding guest services in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during events.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote events effectively.
  • Must operate with pre-emptive thinking, must be discerning and able to make good judgment decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Confidentiality and trust worthiness are required.
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills, to be courteous to a diverse group of people.
  • Must be proficient in time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
  • Must be eligible to work in youth and children's settings.
Other:
  • Must be a member of EMIC, attend church services when not on duty to receive from the Pastors, an active tither to EMIC, and support the leadership of EMIC.
  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17; must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Students and volunteers under your supervision.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
  • Typical equipment related to student ministries
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, flexible, and agile enough to function in a normal office and student ministry setting.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to communicate professionally under stressful conditions related to students and parents.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Weekends and evening hours will be required. Works in a fast-paced creative environment including church services, ministry events, and an office environment.
