TITLE: Event Staff/Game Help REPORT TO: Athletic Director and Game Manager(s) JOB GOAL: To carry out the aims and objectives of the athletic program as outlined by the athletic director and school administration. To assist the Athletic Director or designee with the performance of jobs and duties necessary to run athletic events for students. JOB SUMMARY: Arrive prepared to work at the designated time. Duties assigned may include:
- Ticket Seller
- Ticket Taker
- Scoreboard Operator
- Announcer
- Scorebook Keeper
- Track and Field Timer/Measurer
- General Event Staff
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect and prepare the area and equipment for the scheduled activity. Report any concerns with equipment or area in sufficient time to have event ready for the scheduled time. All other duties assigned by the Athletic Director or Game Manager QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability and experience in working with duties associated to the assigned activity.
- Possess the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Maturity and ability to deal effectively with students and staff.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within the limits of assigned responsibilities.
- Understands the importance of and can practice confidentiality.
- Adheres to specific rules and regulations as they apply to the procedures of the facility.
Receipt of current, favorable clearances including: Pennsylvania Stater Criminal History (Act 34), Federal Criminal History (FBI-Fingerprinting-Act 114), Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Act 151), and Sexual Misconduct and Abuse Disclosures (Act 168).
