Clay Earles. The track is the only venue to host NASCAR's top series every year since its inception. Martinsville Speedway conducts three major race event weekends each year. The track annually hosts the NASCAR Cup Series races in the spring and in the fall, the NASCAR Xfinity Series in the fall, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the fall, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series race in spring, and the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 NASCAR's biggest, richest and most prestigious Late Model Stock Car race.Responsibilities/ Duties/ Functions/ TasksEnthusiastically interact with and educate the public on Martinsville Speedway history, information, and ticket opportunitiesResponsible for the loading and unloading of the Martinsville Speedway Pace CarEnsure that display is appropriately supplied with promotional materials and giveaway itemsEnsure that display presentation is neat, organized, and pleasing to the eyeActively collect prospects for future email campaignsAttend in-market events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunitiesBe an expert on the products and services offered by Martinsville SpeedwayContinuing education in the sport of NASCAR and sports industry standards on customer careConform to all safety regulationsAssist in the set up and tear down of the displayOther duties as assignedPerformance MeasuresLevel of enthusiasm and professionalism displayed during interaction with customersPresentation of display and materialsCompliance with safety regulations/ proceduresPromptness of response to customer service issuesReliability and dependabilityQualificationsPost high school education required or equivalent experienceExceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industryCompetitive nature and a contagious positive attitudeStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications and daily use of emailProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduledWork RequirementsMay require some out of town and overnight travelSpecial Position RequirementsPosition requires travel, evening and weekend hours as neededApply Now!Learn more about this role and our team by applying at www.careers.nascar.com for consideration.We are a company unlike any other.
