Primary Purpose:
To provide support to the AllenISD Events & Venue Operations department by executing and supervising events in the Allen Performing Arts Center, Lowery Auditorium and other district venues. This position will perform venue operation tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience may replace degree.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Must have the ability to function with minimal or no supervision.
* Skilled in performing arts and live event production, processes, and methodology.
* Ability to meet deadlines and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to supervise effectively, at times providing leadership for up to 15 individuals during events.
* Demonstrated ability to remain calm and friendly during stressful situations.
* Ability resolving conflict effectively and promptly.
* Must have strong problem-solving ability by utilizing critical thinking and logic to a wide range of issues.
* Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
* Skill in operating and basic troubleshooting of technical systems.
* First Aid training and CPR certification.
* Possess a valid Texas Driver License.
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in event management in arena, theater or convention center environment.
* House management, box office management and hospitality services.
* Lighting, audio, video systems in a theatrical or live event environment.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* This position requires a varied schedule including holidays, early-morning, night and weekend work.
* Execute venue operations tasks and projects as assigned.
* Ensure that safety procedures are maintained for the public, performers, and crew.
* Communicate and collaborate with various areas of the organization to provide outstanding service delivery, program development, and customer satisfaction.
* Receive pre-planned event information and responsible for executing event.
* Interface with client and student workers for assigned event.
* Supervises event from load-in to load-out.
* Complete post-event reports.
* Responsible for handling emergency situations and on-call duties during event and managing the facility to ensure a clean, orderly and safe environment for staff, performers, and patrons.
* Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including but not limited to State Board of Education and local Board policy.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or District.

* Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times.

Salary: Pay Grade TG02, $194.78 - $236.21 daily rate with experience according to District salary schedule. Days: 226
