Job Description

To organize, plan and oversee the execution of events, activities and programming resort-wide. These responsibilities include; but are not limited to; family activities, themed weekends, seasonal festival and celebrations, resort sponsored promotions, live entertainment, aprs ski parties, holiday activities, and Group Sales entertainment.

Responsibilities

* Assists with the development of innovative programs and activities. Coordinates and implements activities for special events, entertainment, and Sales groups.

* Assists in coordinating all necessary contractual services for activities and special events. To include utilization of Delphi and Resume/BEO development and distribution.

* Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments regarding special events; working closely with the Sales, Banquets and Set-up departments to ensure smooth, properly scheduled events.

* Coordinate with Finance to ensure vendors are compensated in a timely and appropriate manner.

* Assist with overall marketing strategy for special events and activities.

* Coordinate with Marketing to develop collateral and stationary for all events.

* Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments.

* Coordinate Special Event support services (flowers, entertainment, decoration, A/V, etc.) to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

* Oversee the service of all events to ensure quality satisfaction of all guests.

* Ensure that all administrative procedures are being executed in a timely manner.

* Ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis.

* Work with Sales team to identify new special events offerings for business and wedding groups.

Qualifications

* 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.

* Sales and Marketing experience preferred.

* Prior experience utilizing Delphi preferred.

* Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

* Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.

* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Must be attentive to detail.

* Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.

* Must be punctual and reliable.

* Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.

* Must be available to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
