ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works with the Events and Experiences Manager to plan, develop, publicize, and implement educational, informational, and cultural programming for youths ages 0-17;
- Oversees Senior Citizen Recreational Program and newsletter;
- Plans, develops, publicizes, and implements educational, informational, and cultural programming for seniors;
- Supervises Senior Program Facilitators and other part time staff members, as needed;
- Maintains and promotes Campbell Volunteerism software;
- Assists Events and Experiences Manager with creating budget;
- Participates in CEQL outreach efforts and large events;
- Works with partner agencies that serve Senior Citizens to facilitate community events;
- Serves on Library Program Team;
- Serves as a backup for other Events and Experiences staff members during absences;
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of library practices, procedures, technology, and techniques;
- Exemplary customer service skills;
- Graphic design;
- Familiarity with MS office and Canva;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with citizens, staff, and community partners;
- Event planning;
- Ability to exercise initiative, creativity, flexibility, sound judgment, and work well citizens of all ages.
