Position Summary:This position functions under the general guidance and direction of the Director of Campus Scheduling and will be responsible for executing the logistics and setups of university events.Position Responsibilities:Work with departments to make various and multiple room and setup changes to scheduled eventsMonitors, assigns and answers questions regarding events and events calendarGather and maintain space data (i.e. photos, layouts) and upload it into 25LiveResponsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the 25Live Reservation software system (ex. blackouts, user access)Serves as the primary liaison with CollegeNET supportPlays a significant role on the Committee for Ceremonial Occasions (COCO)Oversee emails to ...@yu.edu and field questionsAssists with attire managementPerforms administrative and office support activitiesPerforms other related duties as assignedExperience & Educational Background:Bachelor's degree preferred in communication, marketing, public relations, or specific to special events, or relevant experienceA combination of education and experience will also be consideredMinimum of 1-2 years of event planning experience within higher education, conference or event planning, and/or in facility management or comparable experience in an events settingSkills & Competencies:Proven ability to plan, initiate, and manage challenging logistical situationsMust be able to work independently, taking initiative and be able to ascertain priorities in a dynamic environment of regular interruptions, multiple projects, and deadlinesA commitment to quality, client-oriented serviceMust be friendly and personableWorking knowledge of computersStrong organizational and prioritization skillsThe ability to handle unexpected crisis or deadlinesTact and discretion in maintaining confidentiality in dealings with campus administratorsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to be a proactive thinker and work independently as well as in a teamSkillful in dealing with the public, vendors, and friends of the UniversityA mature, positive attitude; a team playerKnowledge of 25Live scheduling software a plusSalary Range:$25 - $30 per hourAbout Us:Founded in 1886, Yeshiva University (YU) has a strong tradition of combining Jewish scholarship with academic excellence and achievement in the liberal arts, sciences, medicine, law, business, social work, Jewish studies, education, psychology, and more.We are a leading global educational institution that employs 2,000 people across our various campus locations -- Wilf Campus, Beren Campus, Brookdale Center, Resnick Campus in the Bronx, the Gruss Institute in Jerusalem, the Boys High School in Manhattan and the Girls High School in Queens.
