: Job Details :

* Cleans administrative offices, work rooms, break rooms, and restrooms; vacuums, dusts, empties trash cans, cleans toilets, shines mirrors and faucets, cleans sink basins and counters, and sweeps and mops floors.* Sets up rooms as assigned; reviews diagrams; places tables, chairs, risers, stages,dance floors, podiums, AV equipment, and lighting as designated.* Cleans floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets as needed.* Breaks down rooms upon completion of events; returns all tables, chairs, and other equipment to appropriate storage areas.* Cleans main hallways, restrooms, windows, and public use areas.* Performs grounds maintenance duties; picks up trash; empties ash urns; cleans windows, polishes door knobs; pressure washes walkways as needed.* Assists other City departments and customers in loading and unloading equipment and supplies.* Carries tables, chairs, and boxes to external sites.* Performs other related duties as assigned.* Knowledge of the principles and practices of facilities and grounds maintenance and repair.* Knowledge of the principles and practices of audiovisual equipment operation.* Skill in the operation of a sweepers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners.* Skill in problem solving and decision making.* Skill in management and supervision.* Skill in the performance of landscaping activities.* Skill in oral and written communication.Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Must have valid driver's license.The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, walking, or stooping.
