We are seeking a Events Conference Tech Coordinator that will be responsible for overseeing all Information Technology and Audio-visual aspects of events and conferences held at Passaic County Community College. The coordinator will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of events and meetings at all four campus locations. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
This is a hourly, part-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning:
* Collaborate with College staff and event contacts to gather the technical requirements for the function.
* Develop technical specifications and floor plans for events.
* Oversee and provide technical support during events, including setup, operation, and breakdown.
Technical Oversight:
* Ensure the proper functioning of all audio, video, lighting, and other technical equipment used in events.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
* Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
* Maintain and inventory all AV equipment.
Team Management:
* Oversee and coordinate the work of AV technicians supporting events.
* Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
* Associates Degree required; bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical event production.
* Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong knowledge of theatrical lighting systems, digital mixers, sound reinforcement, and PA systems.
* Knowledge of Zoom presentation software.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
