Event Coordinator Location: CLUB - CITY, STATE Reports To: Sales Director Position Overview: As the Event Coordinator at Montgomery Country Club, you will work closely with the Sales Director to execute and manage bookings for private events and will assist and coordinate with the MRC to execute member events. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each event runs smoothly, from initial planning to final touches. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and committed to providing an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Sales Director and MRC to coordinate all aspects of private event bookings, including room layouts, design, and decoration.
- Meet with clients one-on-one to discuss event details, finalize Banquet Event Orders, and tailor packages and add-ons to meet their needs.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the event on-site, including set-up and breakdown, and ensure seamless food service and special moments such as cake cutting for birthdays, mitzvahs, and weddings.
- Upsell additional packages and add-ons to enhance the event experience, and maintain a positive, client-focused attitude throughout.
- Partner with Operations to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Makes sound business decisions that contribute to the net contribution pool.
- Responsible for client event approval, ensuring all payments are collected in a timely manner and all contract details are adhered to.
- Contributes to event goal setting and forecasting with the sales team.
- Recruit, select, develop, and lead Coordinator and/or operations staff as assigned.
- Keeps current on event and industry trends, providing a variety of options and facilitating an optimal experience.
- Partners with corporate trade hospitality contacts, organizations, and vendors, ensuring exposure to our brand and good relationships with key industry contacts.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience supervising others and leading a team.
- Excellent customer skills.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
