North Loop Green will serve as a juncture of creativity, ideas, business and social life. The development includes 350,000 sq ft of creative office space, 17,000 sq ft of food & beverage, and 450 luxury residential units. Every aspect of North Loop Green is designed for unrivaled living, working and gathering experiences, including a newly programmed, 1-acre communal green space serving as the North Loop's town square. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTEMarquee Development is seeking Programming Production Assistants for North Loop Green, a new public space located at 328 N 4th St, Minneapolis, MN, to create a welcoming environment and fun experiences for our visitors.The Green will be a dynamic and vibrant public destination. It will have scheduled outdoor programs daily most of the year, including fitness classes, pop-up markets, live entertainment, corporate & social functions, and community events. In addition, the Green will offer a variety of amenities for visitors, including a dog run, games, and other equipment for visitors to use.The Programming Production Assistants are the public-facing customer-service representatives that will help visitors find and participate in the activities that appeal to them. They will work to set up and break down furnishings for scheduled activities and occasionally supervise contractors doing the same. They will also record data to track program attendance and equipment use to help plan future activities.Programming Production Assistants must be able to physically work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, supervise and participate in the set-up and break-down of events and programs, and maintain a regular working schedule outside of standard business hours, including some evenings and weekends. Approximately 90% to 100% of working hours will be spent outdoors, depending on the season.Qualified candidates will have strong oral communication skills and human relations skills. They must possess a working knowledge or major social media platforms. Most importantly, they should be excited about meeting new people and helping them enjoy their visit to the Green. Experience in event management, visitor services, real estate tenant services, concierge services, or hospitality services at a hotel is a plus.THE DAY TO DAY:
  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of events on the Green including tents, tables, chairs, and lawn games
  • Act as public-facing customer service representative that will interact with both guests and event vendors
  • Assist in operating the Green Video Board and sound system
  • Track and report event attendance
  • Create event execution sheets and distribute to all participating stakeholders
  • Create event recaps after events are complete
  • Maintain event equipment inventory
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exhibit professional judgement
  • Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in calm and poised manner
  • Willing to take the initiative and adapt to a variety of situations
  • Have the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time in varying weather conditions, climb up and down stairs and lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Experience in previous event management, visitor services, real estate tenant services, concierge services, or hospitality services at a hotel is a plus
