EVENTS & SPONSORSHIPS COORDINATOR

Events & Sponsorships Coordinator Role:
As the Events & Sponsorships Coordinator for CMT, an engineering and consulting company, you will plan and coordinate our involvement at industry and community events, organize hospitality functions and manage associated sponsorships to support the firm's external presence while supporting our internal events. You will work closely with team members across our geographies and business units. Your work will elevate CMT's external presence with clients, potential clients, and the public; highlight the firm's hospitality and community involvement; and raise CMT's visibility in existing and new markets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Acquire basic industry knowledge and skills while working under CMT's Communications and Experiences Manager for support, coaching, and direction to:
* Plan and execute internal and external events on behalf of CMT during all stages of the event process
* Work cross-functionally with firm leaders, technical staff leads, partner organizations, and venue representatives to ensure a smooth planning and execution process
* Design and distribute event communications and event-related digital and print signage
* Coordinate the firm's sponsorship and conference participation
* Coordinate booth set-up and hospitality giveaways for events, sponsorships, conferences, and other initiatives
* Coordinate and track digital and print advertisements that pertain to sponsorships
* Run certain events that may require travel and could be outside of normal business hours
* Utilize marketing, communications, and/or design software to develop content and follow processes (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Office 365, Greenvelope, Monday.com)
* Build and maintain cooperative and trusting relationships with Marketing teammates and technical staff
* Submit quality work for review and approval in a timely manner
* Uphold marketing standards and brand usage guidelines
* Participate in efforts towards continuous improvement and innovation
* Align with and embrace CMT's mission and core values
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Basic knowledge of marketing and/or communications techniques, tools, and principles
* Novice or basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
* Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks
* Basic copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills
* Ability to apply creativity to develop engaging content and improve processes
* Basic problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions
* Ability to demonstrate responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field
* 0-3 years of experience in event management, marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field
Physical Requirements
* Physical demands vary depending on the specific nature of assigned projects.
* Office tasks: Physical requirements are minimal and include prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
