Reporting to the EVS Supervisor, the EVS Attendant is responsible for assisting in providing a superior gaming experience, unattainable by our competitor, where guests can indulge themselves without apology, to provide a clean, safe gaming environment for our external and internal customers in accordance with company standards. Essential Functions
- Cleans offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
- Clean walls, stalls, shelving, telephones, brass rails, doors, glass, mirrors and any surface needing cleaning attention.
- Clean and maintain cleanliness of restrooms.
- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
- Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metal work.
- Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain assigned areas.
- Able to provide information and directions to inquiring guests.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Clean and sweep paper and debris off the floor.
- Clean and maintain slot machines and stands.
- Restock with supplies (paper products) and chemicals work area (as needed)
- Performs proper and trained cleaning procedures when blood borne pathogens are involved
- Must able to operate vacuum cleaners or floor cleaning equipment (mop, broom etc.)
- Remove trash as assigned
- Remove or transport items from one area to another as assigned
- Mopping floors

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
- Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work a flexible shift to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of proper chemical usage preferred.
- Meets the attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Required Certification/License
- Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license
