The EVS Heavy Porter reports to the EVS Supervisor and is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy-duty equipment, carpet shampooing, moving of furniture, and other tasks necessary. Position Responsibilities
- Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned area
- Scrub and buff tile and wood floor
- Strip and wax tile floor
- Maintain elevator cleanliness to include elevator tracks, polish doors and clean mirrors
- Clean escalator steps using escalator cleaning machine
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment
- Complete training on the operation of a scissor lift
Requirements
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Physically capable of using the required equipment and / or tools specific to position
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience is helpful
- Must be knowledgeable in the operation of heavy equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
