Responsibilities EVS Manager -Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. Services provided at the hospital include emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioral health services. -Visit us online at: - -Position Description: -Assists and supports the director of EVS in establishing and managing a clean, hygienic, safe, housekeeping department. - Manages the linen program across the hospital. - - The actions of this position produce a working environment that is patient-centered. - Has knowledge of regulatory requirements to include but not limited to: - EPA, DOH, TJC, OSHA, ACHA, and EOC. Supervises and coordinates the work activities of the Environmental Services personnel. - Manages the recruitment and selection of EVS staff. - - Assures that the newly hired employees are trained and meet regulatory guidelines. - Makes suggestions to Director which assist in achieving budget and productivity goals. Builds collegial/effective working relationships with other departments and assist in providing and supporting a unified approach to providing high quality patient care. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manages delivery of hospital linen throughout the facility.
  • Ensures administrative functions that support operations including but not limited to procurement, materials management, accounts payable, budget execution, leadership and staff development, hire, recognition and reward and discipline, compliance are working in a timely fashion, and according to policy and practice, and are contributing to organizational results.
  • Stays abreast of best practices in healthcare housekeeping and infection control in order to be a local subject matter expert.
  • Assists with interviews, evaluating, investigating and recommends for discipline within guidelines of human resource policy and procedures.

      • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or equivalent EVS Management experience
      • 3 years of leadership experience in EVS, - Healthcare or institutional experience required
      • CPI training/certification required within 30 days. Driver's License required for select positions.
