Job Summary:Perform various housekeeping functions, cleaning, sanitation, and other housekeeping functions observing high-sanitation and safety standards in accordance with hospital policies and procedures as well as State and Federal laws.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Perform cleaning procedures of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Operating Room.* Maintain adequate linen supply for the departments.* Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures.* Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment.* Final Terminal, Terminal and Turnover of Operating Rooms.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* As assigned.KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:* Ability to read, write, and speak English preferred.AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES:Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.Information Management: Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety: Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:* Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* Work Experience - Prior cleaning experience in an institutional setting preferred.* Training -* License/Certification -ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
