Job Description:

The Department of Ophthalmology at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System is recruiting an Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in the subspecialty in glaucoma. This individual will be joining a faculty that includes comprehensive ophthalmologists along with subspecialists in glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, uveitis, and vitreoretinal surgery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • M.D. (or D.O.)
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Ophthalmology
  • Eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota
  • Interested in resident training
  • Eligible for Minnesota medical licensure
  • The successful candidate should be able to perform a broad range of glaucoma and cataract ophthalmologic procedures and provide a recent case list for review. Salary, benefits, and academic rank determination are commensurate with qualification and experience. The Minneapolis VAHCS is one of the largest VA ophthalmology programs in the United States.
