The Division of Gastroenterology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is currently seeking an experienced, BC Gastroenterologist with an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease to join our IBD Center. Our IBD team provides comprehensive care and consultation on this thriving service with the support of a new IBD Center. The Gastroenterology division is comprised of over 30 gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and advanced practice providers all committed to providing compassionate, high quality, patient focused care. Providers see approximately 35,000 outpatients per year for a wide variety of GI and liver related problems including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, biliary tract disorders and diseases of the pancreas, colon cancer, and disorders of the esophagus. Physicians also perform approximately 25,000 procedures annually. Many of the Department's physicians are frequently recognized in local and national publications as among the best in their field. The Division offers a collegial and supportive environment in which providers feel their efforts are recognized and valued. All of these factors contribute to an extremely low turnover rate within the Division.
The GI Division also has an ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program with staff physicians holding academic appointments at Tufts Medical School. Staff gastroenterologists have the opportunity to interact with fellows, residents and medical students, and to teach at Tufts Medical School if so inclined.
