Exciting New OB Hospitalist Opportunity in Family-Friendly, Saratoga Springs, New YorkCompensation: $325,000–$360,000/Yr.Saratoga Hospital OB/GYN & Midwifery seeks a BC/BE OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our strong, dedicated team of physician OB/GYNs and Certified Nurse Midwives as a Hospitalist/Nocturnist. Our team also includes several outpatient-only CNMs and NPs.The Hospitalist will provide care to a full range of hospital-based OB/GYN patients. Our robust OB program is growing, with 750 deliveries in 2023, and anticipated deliveries in 2024 of over 900.Saratoga Hospital offers personalized care in both the hospital setting and in our outpatient women's health care practice, located in a large, completely renovated space.We anticipate the work schedule to include: 12-hour night shifts, 7 P – 7A, Approximately 13 weeknight shifts (M-F) per 28-day schedule cycle,As part of our team, you will be expected to:Provide in-hospital obstetrical services in collaboration with CNMs, including but not limited to emergency cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal or operative vaginal births, triage of patients, and rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, performing circumcisions.
- Perform in-hospital GYN care, including emergency GYN procedures, consults, and care of admitted service patients
- Respond to patient phone calls from the practice, as well as calls from nursing, ED, Urgent Care, consults, etc.
- Participate in resident education (Family Medicine residents)
Support team members, in addition to exceptionally-trained and experienced RNs, include a Board Certified Neonatologist (Director of Newborn Medicine) and a team of NNPs. Anesthesia coverage is readily available.
