Your New Role Reporting to the VP, Studio Services, the Exec Dir., Construction, Facility and Utilities has oversight of Warner Bros. Studios Burbank (WBSB) Main Lot in Burbank, a 110 acre campus encompassing buildings, stages, backlots and infrastructure. This position will manage a diverse team of both union and non-union tradespeople and staff, and oversee all aspects of construction, facilities management, and utility services including sustainability initiatives across the Studio. This role will lead the execution of capital construction, remodels, special projects, equipment upgrades and infrastructure as well as the ongoing maintenance and energy management of our facilities, including offices, stages, and backlots. Ensuring all WB corporate protocols/standards and all state and local regulations are met to the highest level, the Exec Dir. is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, facilities procurement, vendor contracts and budget oversight for the Utilities Operations (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) and Facility (Construction, Maintenance, Labor, Gardening, Paint, Key Shop) departments. Support Management in monitoring, maintaining and improving all aspects of WBSB's business, ensuring professional and efficient service is provided to internal and external clients. Your Role Accountabilities
- Lead various facets of facilities maintenance, including preventative programs, waste management, HVAC and electrical repairs, and energy management systems.
- Manage large budgets for operational expenses while maintaining high standards and adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and ongoing education to various levels of the team both union and non-union employees
- Develop and manage a team to deliver the highest quality Studio Facilities services.
- Manage spend & Budget Control/Reporting, including forecasting of the Facilities Department.
- Keep abreast of developments in the FM industry, both internal and external, such as changes in legislation.
- Plan and implement strategies to achieve constant improvements in employee and client satisfaction.
- Ensure that the Facilities Department meets government regulations and environmental, health and safety standards.
- Manage Third Party Contracts including Waste Management and Cleaning vendors. Check that agreed work undertaken by both WBSB staff and contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
- Responsible for providing full facilities support to all internal and external clients.
- Manage and oversee the Facilities Department to improve delivery of building maintenance services and operational activities.
- Oversee projects including building works, renovation and roadways.
- Work closely with Studio Operations to respond to production clients' requirements.
- Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead with regards to improvements.
- Implement business continuity plans so that WBSB is able to respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Assist in the effective training of staff, ensuring a Facilities Department workforce that is motivated and well matched to the technical requirements of jobs; romote and maintain a positive, dynamic and creative working enabling all employees to realize their optimum potential and contribute full; Ensure all administrative work and corporate reporting is accurate and up-to-date; Ensure the highest levels of client service are communicated to all employees. Lead the Construction, Facilities & Utilities Department to maintain such standards throughout the Studios.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous proven experience in a Construction/Facilities Management/Utilities role or similar.
- Experience in energy management, including energy procurement and building controls Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation, is advantageous
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, team-building and motivational /conflict resolution.
- Oversight of budgets with an ability to deliver projects on budget and on time.
- Ability to organize, motivate and manage a team with different skill sets.
- Awareness of current and future industry practices with the ability to evolve as needed.
- Ability to lead projects and bring them to a successful conclusion
- Strong ability to motivate colleagues and encourage a team player mentality
- Strong analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of construction, facility maintenance and utilities experience
- Proficiency in estimating, budgeting, and value engineering construction projects
- Contractors license
- Ability to review, modify, and plan from construction documents and project schedules.
- Skilled in conducting bid analysis.
- Experience managing multi-facility, multi-project campuses
- Some travel may be required.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $136,482.00 - $253,466.00 salary per year.
