The Global Project Leader for Corporate Real Estate Projects will manage and lead a diverse range of corporate real estate initiatives, including office renovations, relocations, and laboratory modifications on a global scale. This individual will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with the strategic goals of the company. The role requires a combination of project management acumen, deep understanding of real estate and construction, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary point of contact for all corporate real estate project initiatives globally, including but not limited to office interior renovations, new office relocations, and lab modifications.
* Develop comprehensive project plans that cover all stages from conception through completion, including scope, timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as HR, IT, Finance, and the executive team to ensure project objectives align with corporate strategies and employee needs.
* Lead a team of professionals, including Project Managers, Architects, Designers, Contractors, and other consultants, fostering collaboration and accountability.
* Manage the tendering process, contractor selection, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality control.
* Supervise project execution, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
* Implement best practices in project management and real estate development to minimize risks and address regulatory requirements across different regions.
* Provide regular, clear communication to stakeholders on project status, risks, and change management.
* Ensure all projects are completed in compliance with health & safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
* Follow up on project post-completion to ensure all aspects are functioning correctly and user feedback is integrated for future improvements.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with a Master's degree or MBA preferred.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
* A minimum of 8 years' experience in managing large-scale and complex corporate real estate projects, including renovations, relocations, and lab upgrades.
* Demonstrable experience in managing projects across multiple geographical regions with an understanding of varying local market conditions and regulations.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Strong leadership skills and experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM tools), and standard office software.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in sustainability and LEED-certified projects.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital transformation as it applies to the real estate and construction industry.
* Ability to adapt and respond effectively to unexpected changes and complex project challenges.
* Cultural awareness and experience working in a global business environment.
