Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Account Director to lead and oversee the beauty retail category. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and selling strategic content partnerships to retailers with focus on beauty. The candidate must have a proven track record in digital sales and experience managing retail accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating content for a retailer or experience working at or with retail media networks. Ability to collaborate within the commercial team and cross functionally a must. Must be motivated by new thinking.
Primary Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to grow revenue and develop partnerships across the beauty retail category
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail accounts across all divisions-marketing, media, content, affiliate, retail media networks - and identify their needs in order to provide solutions
- Sell innovative content partnerships and advertising solution leveraging Conde Nast portfolio of brands
- Oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting to pitching to negotiation and closing plus ability to identify insights to further grow the partnership
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, creative, and commerce to develop compelling proposals that meet retail client objectives and potential co-op proposals
- Managing all aspects of the sales communication and negotiation process and keeping senior management abreast of status by providing accurate and timely business estimates, forecasts, and administrative paperwork
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, retail media networks, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for content partnerships.
- Drive strategic thinking and creativity in crafting customized solutions for retail clients, ensuring alignment with their brand and marketing goals.
- Monitor performance of campaigns, providing clients with insights and recommendations for optimization to ensure successful partnerships.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the beauty retail category.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10+ of experience in sales within the beauty or retail industry, with a strong focus on content partnerships.
- Proven success in selling content partnerships to retailers, demonstrating strong sales acumen and strategic thinking.
- Highly organized and curious with a proven ability to quicly learn, process new information, and effectively manage projects from start to finish
- Experience working with retail media networks and managing retail accounts is essential.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build long-lasting client relationships
- Ability to construct and negotiate complex, multifaceted deals that align with both the client objectives and company goals
- Highly creative, proactive, and strategic, with a strong understanding of market dynamics in the beauty retail sector.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and provide data-driven insights to clients.
- Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization
The expected base salary range for this position is from $190,000-$255,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
