Most importantly, our employees are part of a team that makes a real difference in the communities we live and work in.Job Summary:Location: Location: Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Address: 933 E Pierce St. - Council Bluffs, IAMonday - Friday, 730am-4pmResponsible for providing advanced secretarial support to President & CEO of Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital.Responsibilities:Essential Functions Promotes positive relations when interacting with patients, visitors, families, physicians, customers and co-workers.Public relations and complaint management.
  • Manages in-coming calls and out-going information in person and on the telephone.
  • Logs and complies variance/complaint log.
Facilitates arrangements for meetings, luncheons, dinners to include issuing invitations, reserving rooms or outside facility, menu selection, etc., and works with travel agency, airlines, charter services, and hotels, as necessary to complete arrangements for travel.Prepare and assemble reports, agendas and pertinent information for Executive Committee, MJE Board of Directors, WCA Board, Foundation Board and Board related meetings and IRB/Ethics committee.Prepares and participates in outside agency surveys; JCAHO, and State of Iowa, etc.Maintains outlook calendar and appointments for President/CEO and senior leadership team.Assists President/CEO and senior leadership team with correspondence and communication materials.
  • Composes, edits, prepares, and proofreads various forms of data and communication to ensure accuracy and good work product.
Updates on-line Administrative Policies and Procedures.Maintains and organizes filing system for minutes, reports, correspondence and reference materials for President/CEO and senior leadership team.Completes weekly entry into KRONOS time keeping system for designated staff.Actively participates in the abstraction, preparation and report formatting of Patient Safety and Quality improvement data to be used internally to improve care.
  • Accurately enters these data in public reporting data bases for external reporting.
Analyzes various elements of operational data such as surgical volumes/ inpatient volumes each month assuring the accuracy of the data reported in collaboration with the Performance Improvement team.Provides assigned Business Objects reports to Directors/Managers monthly to assist with operations.Supports Performance improvement team in the development of work product essential to driving improvement such Powerpoint presentations, Excel and Word documents.Assumes responsibility for assigned projects including planning, organization, communication and evaluation of results.Assumes responsibility for sharing and communicating important/confidential information as directed by the President/CEO.Schedule:Monday - Friday, 730am-4pmJob Description:Job RequirementsEducation
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) required.
  • Two years of college or equivalent experience in healthcare field will be considered.
  • Associate's Degree in relevant field preferred.
Experience
  • 7 years of administrative support experience for senior leaders.
  • Prior experience supporting leadership in personnel administration or project management desired.
License/Certifications

  • Ability to successfully utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
