Job Description:
SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs executive administrative duties for the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Coordinates daily scheduling of meetings and appointments.
  • Manages and completes multiple priorities by the established deadline.
  • Drafts documents based on templates.
  • Maintains both electronic and hard copy files and manuals.
  • Coordinates vacations, manager of the day, and time off schedules for department managers who report to the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Produces and distributes memos and correspondence as indicated.
  • Schedules and makes arrangements for special meetings and/or conferences.
  • Devises and maintains consistent administrative office procedures and systems including filing systems, scheduling, drafting and document processing systems, and distribution/routing systems.
  • Coordinates meeting with Nursing Administration Council, department directors and provides meeting minutes as required.
  • Coordinates and implements project identified in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Distributes pertinent information regarding policies and procedure changes, upcoming events, and clinical operational notices and concerns.
  • Involvement in nursing and hospital wide committees at the request of the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Acts as a liaison between nursing staff, Nurse Managers, department managers, and the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Works to implement process improvement with the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Assists with policy development as needed to support nursing and ancillary departments.
  • Develops, implements, and oversight for patient safety initiatives to include audits and reports.
  • Works in a team environment to handle phone coverage and other coverage for team members.
REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing OfficerSUPERVISES: NoneINTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS: Patients, families, LRH employees, external vendors.QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree with minimum of five years secretarial experience and/or training. At least three year's experience in the administrative field working and supporting at the executive level. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Healthcare experience preferred. Skills in computer programs required Microsoft office, Word Processing, and excellent written and verbal communication skills required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be in good health as demonstrate by pre-employment physical.
  • May be subject to extended periods of sitting with close visual acuity work.
  • Works at desk 75% of the day.
  • May be subject to moderate lifting.
