Salary: $59,496.00 - $83,832.00 AnnuallyLocation : City of Irving, TXJob Type: ClericalJob Number: 2400223Department: City Manager's OfficeOpening Date: 09/25/2024Closing Date: 10/9/2024 5:00 PM CentralJob Posting This is a high visibility position with frequent interaction with City officials and the public, offering good potential for career advancement opportunities Duties include providing advanced administrative support to executives in the City Manager's Office - serving as liaison to members of senior management, elected officials, City staff and the public, providing information and responding to sensitive inquiries and complaints; coordinating and facilitating appointment calendars and making travel arrangements for assigned city management staff; preparing correspondence, presentations, reports, informational packets and other documents; reviewing incoming reports and correspondence to determine appropriate course of action; maintaining databases, electronic files and financial records; and filing and other general office tasks. Duties also include coordinating complex events, managing multiple logistics such as site selection, website promotion and preparation of presentations, agendas and programs; and assisting with departmental budget preparation and administration. As one of two executive assistants in this department, may be required to attend and serve as secretary for various City meetings. Duties will require handling highly confidential information with discretion and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines working in a fast-paced, multi?task environment. An Associate's degree, or equivalent, and a minimum of three years increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience or equivalent transferrable skills required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced knowledge of MS Office products and a high level of computer proficiency. Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills are beneficial. Hours are normally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but may vary. A rsum must be submitted with the application.
