Job Summary:

We are looking for an Executive Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the VP, Cable R&D and, to a lesser degree, the Senior R&D Staff within our Belden Engineering Center in Indiana.This role will also act in the capacity of an Office Manager for the engineering team. This is an onsite position, based out of Richmond, IN and reports to the VP, Cable R&D.

You will make a difference in the following ways:

* Maintain various calendars, itineraries and expense reports for applicable leaders.

* Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, conferences, travel arrangements (domestic and international), and applicable department activities. Additional department activities could include team building activities, luncheons, etc.

* Perform desktop publishing to create and develop materials for visual presentations, reports, and other communications. Proofread for spelling, grammar and layout, ensuring the accuracy and clarity of final copy.

* Screen and route incoming mail, and coordinate various office shipments through UPS, FedEx, or other certified mailings as needed.

* Maintain a comprehensive filing system for all correspondence, reports, and documentary records.

* Confidentially handle incoming/outgoing correspondence/communications and initiate the appropriate response or action required.

* Process (pay, track and audit) all invoices and purchase card expenses for Engineering vendors in an accurate, efficient and timeline manner.

* Manage company apartments, to include assigning and check-out.

* Track vacation, sick time, and non-exempt timecards for the engineering department.

What you bring:

* Associate degree in Business Administration or administrative certificate required.

* Minimum three (3) years of prior experience supporting senior leaders.

* Must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Notary Public.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to maintain multiple schedules and coordinate with multiple parties.

* Demonstrated ability to research, write effectively, and proofread various documents.

* Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

* Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work effectively across various levels and teams within the organization.

* Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments with excellent attention to detail.

* Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite to include the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

* Ability to exercise independent judgement.
