Position Title: Executive Assistant to the Provost Department/School: Academic Affairs Salary/Pay Rate: $30/hour - $35/hour Job Summary: The Executive Assistant to the Provost is responsible for the correspondence, scheduling, planning, and budget activities of the area. This position calls for the frequent use of independent judgment and is a highly confidential position requiring extreme tact, sensitivity, highly developed secretarial/clerical capabilities, and significant human relations skills. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or high school diploma and 5+ years' of executive level administrative support experience. Essential Functions:
- Support the Provost in advancing all daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Deal with multiple constituencies in a professional and helpful manner - including Trustees, Faculty, Administrators, Students, Parents, and External Organizations.
- Manage Provost's calendar; manage Provost's meetings: soliciting agenda items, taking minutes; arrange events for Provost; finalize Commencement Programs in partnership with Special Events.
- Monitor numerous budget accounts; reconciliation of Provost's Visa statements.
- Manage distribution and collection of deans' annual evaluations.
- Annual updates of Faculty Handbook, Department Chair & Program Director lists, course catalog listing of full-time faculty.
- Prepare policy & procedure manuals for FT & PT faculty.
- Other duties as assigned.
