We're looking for an Executive Chef at our Waterbury location to lead our kitchen, inspire creativity, and work hands-on with the team to ensure every dish celebrates our values of quality and local sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead menu creation with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients from Vermont's farms, using your creativity to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive, collaborative environment where your team can grow and develop.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, inventory management, and food safety standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with local suppliers to maintain strong relationships and secure the best ingredients for our menu.
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics like food costs and waste reduction, while continuously improving operations.
About You:
- You have 3+ years of experience as a chef, with a passion for farm-to-table cuisine and local sourcing.
- You're a creative and hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative kitchen environment.
- You value sustainability, community, and creating a positive work culture.
- You have a strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and managing kitchen operations.
