Executive Director - Arbor Ridge at Huntersville

Ridge Care

Location: Huntersville,NC, USA

Date: 2024-11-26T08:02:58Z

Job Description:

This position is currently available in the following communities:Arbor Ridge at Huntersville isn't your typical senior living community, and that means we aren't searching for a typical senior living executive director. Here's what's important to us and what should be important to you, too.Residents come first. No, really, they have to come first. This isn't gimmicky marketing speak or a line from a vision statement some consultant wrote and put up on a wall. We mean the resident absolutely, positively must come first. The first question you have to ask yourself every day is “Are our residents happy and well?” And if the answer is “no,” you've got to get to the bottom of it – and fast! Around here, care isn't just something we sell, it's something we actually do. It's more of a feeling, not just a list of care tasks to be performed. Really, residents first. Okay, hopefully, that's come through loud and clear.Real leadership. Do you know how to figure out if you're a leader? Turn around and see if anyone's following you. Suffice it to say, we need a leader who people are willing to follow, and people follow leaders who put others' needs first, are willing to walk the walk, and understand that their highest and best use is to clear the obstacles keeping their team from being successful. A leader doesn't major in minor things but also understands that he or she isn't too important to jump in and do what needs to be done. It's this kind of person Arbor Ridge needs.Accountability. You'll be the boss, which sounds duly impressive, but it comes with a lot of responsibility: residents to be delighted, regulations and policies and procedures to be complied with, budgets to be managed, and financial targets to be hit. Sure, you've got a talented team to help you, but at the end of the day, you're the one responsible for making sure it all goes off without a hitch. In turn, you give your team most of the credit when you succeed, and you take all of the blame when you don't.Casting a compelling vision. Okay, this sounds a little lofty, but it's really important. You have to have a vision for what your community can become, and then you have to be skilled in convincing your team to buy into that vision. You're very clear on the vital few things that are necessary to make your community a great place to live and work, and you have to make sure those things are abundantly clear to your team, too. We want you to believe in what you're doing and to be all-in on creating the kind of outcomes you know are possible, and you just can't do that unless you can create a vision that others will make their own.So, that's some of what's important to us. Of course, this isn't an exhaustive list, but it gives you an idea of the things we'll be looking for as we work to find the perfect candidate for this important role.Minimum Qualifications: Previous senior living leadership experience is helpful but not necessarily a dealbreaker. We're looking for skill, ability, aptitude, and personality. The same goes for academic achievement; advanced degrees are great, but we're just as interested in the great things you've accomplished as we are the credentials you've earned. Either way, you have to be able to be licensed as a North Carolina Adult Care Home Administrator. And what about Arbor Ridge? It's a beautiful, two-year-old independent living, assisted living, and memory care community located on Statesville Road in Huntersville. It has an excellent reputation for care, strong occupancy performance, and deep connections to the community it serves. Are we looking for you? Reach out to Michelle Moore (...@RidgeCare.com) with your resume and an introductory letter. We're excited to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
