Position: Treatment Director
Location: Beuaterre Recovery Institute, Owatonna MN
Compensation: DOE ($115,000 to $140,000)
Join our dedicated team at Beauterre in Owatonna, Minnesota, as an Executive Director, where you'll foster clinical excellence and growth throughout the site and parent company organization (Meridian Behavioral Health). You'll oversee clinical operations and ensure a safe, professional environment for clients and employees. In this role, you'll develop and implement annual objectives while managing budgetary responsibilities and ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities. Your leadership and expertise will foster staff development, program design, and direct care across this and other programs. We seek candidates with direct service experience in MICD, strong communication skills, and who hold an LADC and/or Mental Health License, along with 2+ years in a healthcare-related leadership position. Compensation DOE, $115,000 to $140,000.
Duties and responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and achieve strategic goals.
- Monitor external trends and changes in regulations impacting service delivery
- Advocate for the organization's needs and present its interest in community meetings.
- Ensure integration of best practices and evidence-based approaches; lead initiatives to pilot enhancements in site-based care, and facilitate scaling to the remainder of the organization.
- Develop and implement specific annual objectives for the facility.
- Develop and monitor annual budget to ensure fiscal stability.
- Ensure current state, federal and accreditation requirements are met.
- Provide leadership and staff development.4
- Write monthly financial summaries/analysis.
- Program review and design
- Review referrals for potential admissions
- Assist in all departments as qualified and as needed
- Act with authority in the best interest(s) of the clients, staff, stakeholders and community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Must have at least one year of work experience in direct service to individuals with chemical use problems or one year work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with chemical use problems; and
- Have a baccalaureate degree or three years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services.
- Must know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program (governed by MN Statute 245G).
- One year supervisory experience.
- A minimum of two years' freedom from chemical abuse problems.
- Must document 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems and chemical abuse of dependency that includes competencies related to philosophy, screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, documentation, programming, medication, collaboration, mental health consultation, discharge planning.
Preferred qualifications: LADC, LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC with at least 3 years supervisory experience.

- Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
- Strong knowledge of the 12 core functions
- Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities
- Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting.
Physical requirements
- Hearing Ability to hear staff, incoming calls, and callers
- Vision Ability to see computer screen and written charts to document outcomes and obtain data
- Speaking Ability to speak to staff and external customers
- Sitting Approximately 5-6 hours per day
- Standing Approximately 1-2 hours per day
