As an Executive Director, Business Manager in the HR Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team you will report to the firmwide Human Resources Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the head of New Joiner Experience jointly. You will play a pivotal role as a strategic partner to the global NJE business, which includes all Experienced Recruiting, Early Career Recruiting, and NJE Product. This is a dynamic opportunity requiring you to have the executive skills to be part of a senior leadership team responsible to drive a strategic and evolving agenda, including helping to articulate and synthesize those priorities and link to clear and measurable objectives, as well as enabling and supporting the necessary business management routines designed to measures progress and impact of the function. The successful candidate is outcome-focused and has a leadership style that fosters teamwork and is comfortable to step into an evolving environment, work across the organization and drive results with urgency and discipline. Job responsibilities Act as a strategic partner to the head of business and CFO in all aspects of the function: strategy, controls, people, and financial performance Manage financial and headcount reporting, including managing productivity targets and identifying areas to become more efficient Partner with HR Finance & Business Management (F&BM) from CCB, CIB, AWM and CB to provide a consolidated view of NJE headcount and expense Analyze and communicate all aspects of performance to the Group's management team, including at town halls, off-sites, business reviews Support real estate capacity and location strategy execution Support the organizational evolution toward Product, including the routines that underpin new ways of working Step in to work with leaders on emerging business needs, which may include bringing together subject matter experts to frame and issue and propose initial implementation plans, often for a senior set of decision makers Partner with HR Controls to help escalate and remediate gaps or risks to the control environment of the function Work alongside the product organization in the development of business cases for investments and associated outcomes to help advance the function's strategy. Responsible for tracking investments and efficiencies through financials. Partner with other Business Management and finance teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and understanding context and developing opinion on next stepsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting with at least 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services Experience in corporate financial analytics / understanding of key drivers and financial P&Ls Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker Excellent oral & written communication and relationship management skills Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately Proactive and results-oriented, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines The candidate must be a self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessaryPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Prior business management or chief of staff experience ideal Leverages the organization to deliver results quickly Thoughtful, informed and appropriately opinionated with sound judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, and strong work ethic Ability to influence outcomes and get the best from people, even where no direct line management responsibility exists
