Primary Location: 3452 Spur 399, McKinney, Texas, 75069 We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Serves as a public face of Collin College and the Collin College Foundation providing a positive and high-energy connection to our community. The Executive Director of the Foundation oversees the planning, management, and daily operations of the Collin College Foundation office. Leads new strategic initiatives as well as provide leadership and vision to fundraising programs that support Collin College's mission and goals through external funding. Serves as chief advancement officer and leads the staff and volunteers in the development and implementation of fundraising plans and events. Oversees successful implementation and execution of 2-3 large fundraising events per year. Required Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Researches, plans, develops, and supports the College's Executive Leadership Team with executing new strategic initiatives.
  • Provides positive and highly-energetic leadership for the Collin College Foundation. Oversees the development, execution, and evaluation of fundraising plans to develop gifts and donations in accordance with the college's strategic plan. Serves as the liaison between Collin College and the Collin College Foundation to ensure that Foundation goals, objectives, and activities match the priorities of the institution and vision of the district president.
  • Solicits major gifts and manages the evaluation of fundraising efforts in collaboration with the district president, Senior Vice President of Student and Community Engagement, Collin College Board of Trustees, and Foundation Board of Directors. Leads philanthropic campaigns to build support from alumni and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinates Foundation Board of Directors' meetings and sub-committees. Oversee completion and maintenance of required not for profit forms and submissions.
  • Raises scholarship funds and grows endowments by fostering a culture of philanthropy and assuring that the Foundation's systems and procedures support fund development.
  • Organizes and leads major fundraising campaigns to support the master and strategic plan of Collin College.
  • Develops long-term relationships with alumni and encourage alumni service, leadership, advocacy and philanthropy for the college. Helps enhance student, community, and alumni affinity for giving back through time and resources to Collin College.
  • Maintains transparent and accurate documents reflecting the efforts of the Foundation.
  • Ensures the Foundation's financial transactions are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and laws and with appropriate internal controls as to ensure satisfactory audit results and provide transparent financial reporting for the IRS and for public purposes.
  • Develops and manages budgets for the Foundation.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Experience Seven (7) years of experience in development and/or fundraising, public relations, marketing or communication. Experience with management and employee supervision required.
