Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Morgan Stanley's market leading institutional equity derivatives business is powered by a world class technology platform from front to back. Our platform manages the processing of Structured Products and OTCs for our exotic derivatives business. This is a complex business area requiring smart, innovative, and self-sufficient, hands-on leaders to work closely with sales, trading, and quants.
As the business continues to grow, we are driving efficiency and scale, partnering closely with business stakeholders to anticipate opportunities for further innovation and automation. Our team in New York requires a senior technology leader to work closely with business stakeholders and shape our platform strategy in alignment with both global and local needs. Our priorities are to efficiently onboard new products for our clients, providing a seamless integration with our connectivity, pricing, document generation, and trade capture systems. This is an opportunity to build effective relationships with stakeholders, influence technology strategy, and make an impact on business revenue targets by better servicing clients.
Reflecting the global nature of our business and systems, this department is distributed between New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Budapest. We have a strong development team in New York where many of our senior business sponsors are also located. We are also active in many out of work activities both socially and volunteering our time through various firm sponsored initiatives.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $195,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
