The WM and U.S. Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is embedded within the Firm's business line. It is responsible for identifying, assessing, and escalating potential money laundering and reputational risk issues associated with higher risk client types. The WM and U.S. Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley.Primary Responsibilities:The Financial Crimes Program Management ED will manage projects that are part of the Financial Crimes Risk Program portfolio.The Financial Crimes Program Management ED will:· Manage key projects and initiatives related to assessing and mitigating the Firm's exposure to money laundering and other financial crimes· Liaise with internal stakeholders and team members to identify/agree dependencies, milestones, and major deliverables· Oversee/supervise project budgets· Ensure documentation quality for project requirements, design, testing and implementation/post-implementation · Manage related project issue tracking and resolution· Drive relevant discussions and decisions, and coordinate action item tracking, project plans, milestones, and meeting documentation · Track and report status on multiple cross-divisional projects/programs across divisions, functions and workstreams· Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Business Leaders, Second Line, Technology, and Internal Audit· Support regulatory inquiries and/or exams#LI-AJ1QualificationsRequired Experience:10+ years of experience in project management5+ years of experience in financial crimes/AMLHave a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or another related fieldExperience managing compliance projects and/or examsAbility to:Take initiative, analyze, summarize, and communicate effectivelyMultitask effectively and appropriately prioritize assignmentsWork both independently and in a team environmentDistill complex ideas and concepts into actionable itemsWork in a matrixed organization; leveraging resources across the organization to complete deliverablesInvestigate, identify issues, impacts and trends to propose comprehensive solutionsConduct meaningful root cause and trend analysisDevelop internal relationships, influence stakeholders, and build consensusHandle highly confidential information professionally and with appropriate discretionAdditional Skills Desired:Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plusCertified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is a plusWorking knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Access)General knowledge of AML regulatory requirements and expectations (domestic and international)Strong time management and planning skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingStrong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams and evidence a strong work ethic as well as a high degree of integrityExperience in supporting audit and regulatory inquiries and interactions with senior management, and consultantsMorgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
