About You
We are looking for an inspiring leader to become the next Executive Director of SoCal Adaptive Sports. If you're passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and you believe in the power of adaptive sports to foster equity and wellness, this might be the role for you! We're seeking someone who can energize our team, forge new partnerships, and guide us towards our mission of empowering athletes of all abilities to enjoy the same opportunities and quality of life as their peers.
You're someone who thrives on connecting with people—from staff and volunteers to community partners and athletes. You've got a heart for leadership and love turning big-picture strategies into day-to-day realities. You're also someone who's not afraid to jump into coaching adaptive sports, supporting fundraising efforts, and helping to lead the organization into its next chapter.
About This Role
As Executive Director, you'll be the face of SoCal Adaptive Sports, leading everything from organizational strategy and operations to fundraising and community building. You'll work hand in hand with our board of directors to create exciting growth opportunities and ensure our programs serve the community with excellence. A big part of your job will involve building relationships—whether you're talking with potential donors, community partners, or the athletes and families who benefit from our programs.
This position also involves coaching adaptive sports, so experience with athletics or physical wellness programs will serve you well. You'll be playing a key role in promoting our mission, raising awareness for the needs of the adaptive sports community, and helping us build a more inclusive society. We believe in fostering a strong, positive team culture where everyone has a voice and is motivated to do their best work.
