Job DescriptionABOUT CHRISTOPHER'S HAVEN
Christopher's Haven is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in Boston, MA with a mission to operate a supportive community consisting of temporary apartments and community recreation area for families of children being treated for cancer in nearby Boston hospitals.
The organization manages nine fully-furnished and equipped apartments and a private community recreation area known as “The Loft” at One Emerson Place in Boston. Our “community” of apartments and The Loft are located on two floors of the high-rise residential building located across the street from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and in close proximity to other area medical centers. Out-of-town families with a child actively receiving outpatient care for cancer at a local medical center are eligible to stay at Christopher's Haven. Siblings are an important part of the Christopher's Haven community. Our staff ensures the siblings of the child receiving treatment are included in events and programs. Activities include summer camps, excursions, sporting events tickets and other experiences. All siblings are part of any program or activity offered at Christopher's Haven.

The ideal candidate for the Executive Director's role is a dedicated community leader with a track record of successfully leading an organization to achieve new levels of scale and impact. The ideal candidate embraces servant-leadership, leverages the unique talents of staff and volunteers, empowers and inspires staff excellence, and has a proven track record of revenue generation. While the role can primarily be conducted during normal business hours, on occasion the ED role requires flexible work hours including nights and weekends to perform job duties. Attendance at functions and activities is expected.

The compensation range for this position is $90K - $110K. An annual bonus is also available, dependent on performance and achievement of shared goals.
