Warwick Housing Authority is seeking a passionate Executive Director to oversee the day-to-day business and operations of the Warwick Housing Authority. Qualified applicants should have knowledge and expertise in speaking on behalf of an organization, supervising a team, project management and overseeing budgets and requisitions. The Company: Warwick Housing Authority provides stable, quality affordable housing opportunities for low income, elderly/disabled and Section 8 families throughout the local community. The Role: The Executive Director will report to the Board of Commissioners and be responsible for supervising all Warwick Housing Authority employees. The Executive Director will be onsite in our Warwick, Rhode Island location, general hours are 8:30am through 4:30pm Monday through Friday:
- Oversee entire housing project life cycle
- Manage team of 15+ employees
- Prepare and manage budgets and requisitions for funds for Fiscal Assistance and Loan and Annual Contributions Contracts
- Maintain compliance with HUD regulations
- Establish and oversee a preventative maintenance program identifying modernization needs and supervise all housing units
- Serve as the secretary for monthly Warwick Housing Authority Board meetings
- Interpret all federal guidelines, manuals, etc. and complete forms required by the federal government
- Some travel may be required to attend seminars and conferences
Qualifications:
- 6 years' experience in public or private housing, community development, public administration, non-profit administration, or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience of a staff of three or more
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's or higher is preferred
- Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and organizations
- Public Housing Manager (PHM) by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization is required within the first year of employment
