About the Role - Responsibilities of the Position:
- Secure funding to operate the agency and its programs by writing grants, developing donor base, coordinating fundraisers, annual appeals, and social media presence.
- Manage, and ensure compliance with, all leases, contracts, grants, insurances, licenses, and accreditations to operate the agency.
- Ensure that the agency maintains its Solicitation of Contributions Certificate, state corporation registration, and IRS 501C (3) status.
- Seek and maintain accreditation by either Guidestar or Charity Navigator, which are nationally known organizations.
- Oversee all program development, implementation, evaluation, and quality.
- Carry out the directives of the Board of Directors.
- Participate as an ex-officio member at the monthly Board of Directors meeting.
- Provide vision and leadership for the agency staff with the support of the Board of Directors.
- Responsible for program contacts and grant management.
- Prepare the annual budget with the fiscal administrator and Treasurer and monitor the budget monthly as well as work with auditors to insure timely submission and completion of the audit.
- Ensure the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical and data reports.
- Work with the media and maintain good public relations for the agency including speaking engagements and presentations.
- Maintain positive relationships with all funding entities and donors. “throughout the year”.
- Network, coordinate, and collaborate with public, private, and community organizations to advocate for the agency and its clients.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers.
- Oversee all fundraising events, including but not limited to the Holiday Luncheon and Spring Gala.
Qualifications - *Must currently reside in the Palm Beach County metro area* A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' experience in management, fundraising, and organizational development is required. Grant writing and non-profit experience is required. Applicant must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and proficiency in both verbal and written communication. Incumbent is preferred to be bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole. Computer skills and professional appearance and attitude are a must. Experience in working with farmworker/immigrant populations is preferred.
