Tony Fiore Named Executive Director of The Ohio Aviation AssociationAugust 2022 Tony Fiore has been selected to serve as executive director for The Ohio Aviation Association (OAA). Fiore brings more than 25 years of state government affairs and association management experience to the organization, including in his tenure as executive director of the Ohio Salon Association, and has provided government affairs representation to the OAA for more than four years as an advocate on behalf of Ohio's commercial, cargo, and general aviation airports. I am excited for the opportunity to continue my advocacy on behalf of OAA and raising the needs of Ohio's airports to the next level in this capacity, said Fiore. Ohio is the 'Birthplace of Aviation' and the OAA has an outstanding track record of working to ensure that Ohio's airports not only provide safety for air travel but are also equipped to keep Ohio an attractive place for economic development. It is my goal to keep the needs of airports front and center with policymakers. Ohio's aviation industry has a significant impact on the state's economy providing more than 123,500 jobs, generating $4.2 billion in annual payroll, $13.3 billion in annual economic output, and $29.6 million in aviation-related tax revenues. Fiore serves as of counsel at the law firm of Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter LPA. Kegler Brown offers professional association management services through its government affairs practice, and its attorneys and lobbyists manage a number of associations, while also serving as legal and legislative counsel for national and state organizations. Fiore leads the firm's association management efforts, serves as the firm's federal and state political action committee (PAC) treasurer, and also manages the firm's national lobbying compliance practice. He has been with Kegler Brown since 2011. Duties of the Executive Director The OAA Officers and Board of Directors serve the Ohio aviation community on a voluntary basis. To assist the Officers and Board of Directors in carrying out strategic goals, the OAA engages an Executive Director. The Executive Director assists the OAA Board through financial management, membership management, membership recruitment, communication management, annual conference planning & execution, administration of OAA's governance and to serve as an advocate for our members .
