The Opportunity

The Executive Director of Life Sciences has the opportunity to drive growth, build relationships, lead high-performing teams, and serve as a technical expert for the business. This position will coach leaders, handle escalations, and ensure delivery of best-in-class service to our clients. They will be deeply engaged in business development and sales activities. The ideal candidate has existing relationships across the life sciences industry and should anticipate acting as a visible leader speaking at industry conferences.

Primary Responsibilities

The Executive Director of Life Sciences requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills to achieve eminence in the life sciences sector. This role:

* Establishes and manages infrastructure and subject matter expertise to support life sciences clients and JLL teams, specifically in engineering and technical services.

* Works across JLL to collaborate with JLL Technology, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment), Quality & Compliance, and Sourcing & Procurement, ensuring synergy in cross-functional initiatives.

* Establishes and nurtures strong client relationships.

* Ensures deployment of the vision and strategy of the business across many clients.

* Meets with C-Suite executives and client leaders to highlight results.

* Presents thought leadership and solutions to shape clients' vision over time.

* Achieves reference status with all clients, demonstrating best-in-class service delivery.

* Represents JLL in industry forums and conferences, establishing JLL as a thought leader in technical operations within the Life sciences sector.

Growth Expectations

* Recognizes opportunities for organic account growth, articulates v alue propositions, and ensures implementation across the business.

* Partners with the business development, solutions and sales teams to leverage external networks to further sales and business development efforts.

* Drives revenue growth by identifying opportunities to generate additional revenue.

* Invests in client relationships to drive improve margin while maximizing long-term value to the client.

Requirements

* Proven capabilities in developing advisory-led services and Integrated Facility Management solutions in Life Sciences.

* Fifteen-plus years as a seasoned leader in Facility Management, Engineering or Commercial Real Estate with executive leadership experience.

* Relatable experience hiring, training, and retaining teams of talent in a client service environment.

* Successful experience proactively managing profitable accounts, businesses, or business segments.

* Bachelor's degree with a broad range of business experience; MBA or post-graduate studies preferred.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

225,000.00 - 275,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
