Category Manufacturing Description The Executive Director of Operations (EDO) at NE-XT's Greenfield facility is responsible for leading a team of Directors and Senior Managers across the Manufacturing, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, and Maintenance functions for the site. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations this role will have a direct impact on P&L success along with ownership of critical operational metrics impacting profitability. The EDO works side by side with the Executive Director of Engineering and Quality to lead and execute on strategic business objectives by exercising broad and overarching direct and indirect influence through their ability to motivate, coach, mentor, and collaborate across the entire organization. The EDO possesses an extensive background in a manufacturing enterprise along with an understanding of support functions and disciplines (Quality, Engineering, Business Development, Purchasing, Human Resources, etc). The EDO will provide critical input to the Headquarters Team regarding budgetary recommendations and capital expenditures, staffing, strategic C.I. initiatives, training, and EH&S, and will need the ability to strike a balance and toggle daily between the strategic and tactical as necessary. Additionally, the EDO will also be an outward facing asset of the organization as an escalation point occasionally called up to interface with current and future customers, vendors, and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesManage experienced Sr Managers and Professionals across all departments within area of responsibility.Continually steer organization towards achievements of key metrics set by Headquarters Team.Communicate with parties inside and outside of the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence senior leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches.Exercise mature management style, business acumen, leadership capabilities, and tap a broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines.Recommend sound, potentially innovative solutions drawing best practice examples to eliminate problems and obstacles. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are regularly complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple areas of the organization across the near and long-term horizons.Own tactical and operational plans and goals that support strategic objectives.Continually deploy an effective and scalable organizational structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the group while managing workloads, career development, and setting clear direction for assigned projects.Position Requirements Candidate RequirementsStrong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics utilizing ERP software.10 years' experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.Understanding of the cost drivers inherent in a manufacturing P&L.Understanding of AS9100 or ISO 9001 QMS structure.Demonstrated track record of tangible continuous improvement events and/or change management.Preferred Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree or Graduate Degree in a technical or management related field in addition to manufacturing leadership experience.Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing software.
