Position Summary: - Responsible for coordinating, contracting, and where qualified, overseeing a program in the fields of automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: - Serves as the primary coordinator and developer of curriculum, instructional content, and industrial training, especially the integration of industry-recognized credentials in the following areas:
- Robotics and automation
- PLC and Electricity
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Welding
- Industrial Maintenance
- Mechanical Controls and Operations
- Basic Mechanical Skills
- Blueprint reading and Measurements
- Drives innovation and expands automation education capabilities.
- Anticipates and responds to manufacturing education and training needs
- Serves as primary liaison with state and federal grant funding partners.
- Manages workforce education and advanced manufacturing grant funded initiatives funded by state and/or federal agencies, i.e. ODHE, US DOD, US DOL, NSF, etc.
- Serves as the primary liaison between the College and local, regional and statewide advanced manufacturing partners.
- Creates, designs, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates open enrollment training programs and customized training for the advanced manufacturing community.
- Coordinates, creates, and sells customized training to business, industry and government organizations.
- Collaborates with the Kern Center, the Apprenticeship Coordinator, and the academic divisions to ensure alignment and relevancy of programs and training.
- Assists with the enrollment, registration, billing and reporting of training participants
- Develops and maintains tracking system and database of company contacts to include marketing materials, courses developed, and training needs of each partner.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement facility and equipment improvements, publicly representing the college at workforce-related events, coordinating college-sponsored workforce events, and facilitating advisory board meetings.
- Reviews and revises policies and procedures regarding advanced manufacturing instruction.
- Evaluates non-credit instruction and offerings.
- Advises the Dean of Workforce and Community Education on matters related to the enhancement and growth of division programs and workforce training.
- Potential other duties include recruiting and hiring adjunct faculty and non-credit instructors, supporting non-credit and credit instructors, teaching non-credit courses, and assigned division administration duties for the academic division.

Education and/or Work Experience: Required: - Associate of Applied Science degree in a related advanced manufacturing skilled trade
- OR bachelor's degree in robotics and automation preferred or a related technology
- OR a Journeyman card with 3-5 years of additional related experience
- OR 10+ years of related advanced manufacturing and/or automation and/or robotics integration technical experience
- Previous inside sales experience or customer service experience
- Experience with FANUC, KUKA or similar automation manufacturer Certified Education programs
- Experience maintaining, trouble shooting, and programing FANUC, ABB, and/or KUKA robotics
- Experience maintaining, trouble shooting, and programing Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC components
Preferred: - Experience mentoring apprentices, developing training, teaching, and delivering training in an advanced manufacturing or community college environments
- Experience with FESTO or Amatrol trainers and training software
- Previous experience training or teaching in one or more of the following areas:
- Fanuc robotics certification
- Other robotic automation systems
- Allen Bradly and/or Siemens PLC logic controllers
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Mechanical/electrical controls and operations
- Industrial maintenance
- Basic electricity and trouble shooting
- AC/DC theory
- CNC and advanced machining on mills and lathes
- Basic mechanical skills
- Blueprint reading and measurements
- Experienced in SolidWorks/AutoCAD, industrial electricity, process control instrumentation, and automated guided vehicles.
- Experience maintaining and/or troubleshooting pneumatics/hydraulics systems, mechanical power transmission systems, and AC/DC motor controls
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (as applicable): Required: - FANUC instructor credentials and ability to award FANUC Certified Robot Operator (FCR-O1 & FRC-O2) or ability obtain credentials within one year
Preferred: - Ability to award FANUC Certified Technician (FCR-T1 & FCR-T2)
