Job DetailsJob Location AAON Memphis - Memphis, TN Remote Type Optional Work from Home Position Type Full Time Salary Range $197,749.00 - $292,124.00 Salary Travel Percentage Up to 50% Job Shift Day Job Category Marketing DescriptionJob Overview: The Executive Director of Products and Strategy will serve as a key member of the BASX leadership team, responsible for developing and executing the data center product strategy and deploying resources to drive innovation, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in product management, engineering, and customer support within the HVAC industry, with strong emphasis on data center market and product expertise. The Executive Director will oversee product lifecycles, from concept to launch and post-launch support, ensuring a seamless, customer-centric approach to each phase. Responsibilities:Strategic Product Leadership:
  • Define and execute a comprehensive product strategy, supported by robust business cases, aligned with the company's business goals and market opportunities.
  • Drive product innovation and prioritize new opportunities based on market demand, competitive landscape, and emerging HVAC trends.
  • Build a strong connection between the products and solutions teams to ensure a cohesive product strategy and coordinated customer experience.
Product Management Oversight:
  • Lead the product management team to develop a robust product roadmap and compelling value prop that balances innovation with customer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee product development cycles, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Establish KPIs to measure product performance, from concept to post-launch, and implement continuous improvement measures.
Product Engineering Management:
  • Oversee the product engineering team to drive technical excellence and product reliability, from design through production, leveraging established product development processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration between engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient design, testing, and implementation.
  • Implement best practices in product development, including rigorous testing protocols, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, without sacrificing agility and speed.
Customer Support and Satisfaction:
  • Lead the customer support team to ensure prompt, effective responses to inquiries, feedback, and product issues, aiming for a high customer satisfaction rate.
  • Develop customer support metrics, track performance, and implement solutions to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Act as an advocate for customers within the organization, ensuring their needs are integrated into product design, engineering, and support processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align product initiatives with broader business objectives and market positioning.
  • Partner with the EVP and BASX leadership team to make data-driven decisions, analyze market trends, and adjust product strategies as needed.
  • Act as a key representative of the product organization to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry organizations.
Leadership and Team Development:
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team across product management, engineering, PMO and support functions.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, customer-focused culture that encourages cross-functional alignment and innovative thinking.
  • Set clear goals, provide ongoing feedback, and promote a learning environment to support the professional development of team members.
QualificationsQualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in product or engineering management with at least 5 years in a product leadership role within the HVAC or related industries.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC technologies, market trends, and regulatory requirements, with a strong preference for data center expertise.
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute long-term product strategies that drive growth and innovation.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated expertise in building and leading high-performing teams, with strong capabilities in coaching, collaboration, and talent development.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with experience managing customer support operations and improving service quality.
  • Analytical & Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze market data, assess financial performance, and make data-driven decisions to support business goals.
  • Team Player: Humble, hungry, and smart with history of effective collaboration within a cross-functional product team.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.
