OverviewThe Executive Director, Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing the operations and financial management of the Supply Chain Management Department. This includes assisting and supporting the Supply Chain management team and end-users with business and clinical operations. The Executive Director will help build staff capabilities consistent with both short- and long-term goals and the development and execution of Supply Chain transformation strategy (operational efficacy, holistic approach to expense management, total cost of care, clinical Supply Chain integration, business intelligence, service improvement). Responsibilities include evaluating, organizing, and directing the following areas: Strategic Sourcing, Materials Processing and Distribution Center (MPD), Print/Mail Services, and System Courier Services. The role also involves directing and managing the implementation, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of all supply chain operational programs that support patient care and fiscal responsibility. Additionally, the Executive Director is responsible for developing and implementing objectives, strategies, and tactics for Supply Chain Management departments in support of health system goals and objectives and in compliance with Board and management directives; federal, state, and local laws and regulations; and accreditation requirements.Department DescriptionServing the community since 1961, WakeMed Health & Hospitals is the leading provider of health services in Wake County.
