POSITION DETAILS
The City University of New York (CUNY) is the nation's largest urban public university. The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY MED) is located at the City College of New York (CCNY) in the heart of Harlem. It is the only medical school in the CUNY system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, we transitioned to become the CUNY School of Medicine in 2017. The CUNY School of Medicine (CUNY MED)offers an accelerated BS/MD (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master's Degree (28-month program). True to its legacy of access, opportunity, and community transformation, the medical school seeks to recruit highly talented students as diverse as New York City itself. CUNY School of Medicine is the home of healers and leaders and places a special emphasis on addressing educational and healthcare disparities. The school seeks to include those underrepresented in the field of medicine and to train high-quality, culturally competent health professionals and scientists equipped to address the healthcare needs of New York's medically underserved communities. As a major priority, CUNY MED also seeks to enhance the recruitment and retention of senior leadership, faculty, and staff who closely reflect the diversity of our student body and NYC itself.

They will also serve as the liaison to the CUNY Office of General Counsel and the CUNY Office of Labor Relations. CUNY values diversity and invites applications from members of underrepresented groups who will enrich CUNY-Med's quadripartite mission and that of the university.
A senior member of the Dean's Cabinet, the EGC and Labor Designee will provide counsel to the Dean on the Institution's behalf, and the Dean, Senior, and Associate Deans, the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Chief Diversity Officer, as well as respective offices at CUNY Central, especially the CUNY Office of General Counsel and the CUNY Office of Labor Relations.
