Position Overview

Charleston Shoe Company is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Office Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth daily operations of the office and providing support to various departments. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with daily office operations, including answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
    • Maintain and organize office files, records, and documents.
  • Office Management
    • Ensure office supplies are stocked and reorder as needed.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office maintenance and repairs.
    • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of communal areas, including conference rooms and breakrooms.
  • Team Support
    • Provide administrative support to various departments as required, such as preparing reports or presentations.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients and vendors visiting the office.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in administration is a plus.
    • Proven experience as an office assistant, administrative assistant, or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
    • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience in retail or fashion industries is a plus.
    • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
    • Basic bookkeeping or data entry experience.
