RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Led by the firms first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firms future growth. As such, Goldman Sachs is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Within Global Marketing sits the Content group, which is charged with representing Goldman Sachs to the public. They do this by:

  • Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technology
  • Developing improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channels
  • Incubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiences
  • Collaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insights

Background/Role Summary:

In addition, the Content group is growing an outstanding content studio focused on superior design, creative storytelling, and video production befitting a world-class brand. The studio will create hundreds of pieces of content each year, from videos to infographic, spanning uses cases including client pitches and flagship events.

The Vice President, Business Manager, GS Creative Studio will play a key role in managing the daily operations of the Content Studio. They will report directly to the Creative Director, GS Studios, and will be responsible for designing and managing seamless processes and procedures to assure the timely execution of all content production. They will manage a team of production analysts and associates and will work with key stakeholders across the Content Studio, Global Marketing team, and across the firm to up-level and drive consistency of creative output.

This newly created role will be essential in developing a firm-wide content strategy and will work with a team producing master-brand video content, short-form social content, and client-facing sales-enablement videos. The ideal candidate should be a highly organized business operations leader with the enthusiasm to grow a team as our business continues to scale.

Position Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for incoming production enquires, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place, partnering on briefs and distributing to relevant channels for execution
  • Liaison with internal and external vendor/agency stakeholders to direct business and project needs, including budget and contracts
  • Assess client briefs and work with creative directors to assign video producers, content editors and designers to the project
  • Create and implement monthly deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with on-time delivery
  • Oversee team to track studio content calendar; maintain music and image library tracking
  • Onboard freelancers and contingent workers, as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining and direct studio pricing and tracking of incurred costs and billing
  • Oversee the accounting of the Content Studio
  • Act as escalation point for producers/clients

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in content creation, production, creative services or studio management, newsroom management, or other relevant role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in video required
  • Management experience leading a team of high-performers
  • Strong project manager who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Production savvy with experience working with marketing operations to execute on high impact creative communications
  • Experience with brand marketing teams and an understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics, with a mastery of digital tools and systems including social media
  • Lifelong learner comfortable with a fast-paced, quickly changing environment -- ability to work well under pressure and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects
  • Collaborative work approach and ability to work well across a dynamic global team
