Position Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing company in the construction industry in the Seattle Metro Area, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial operations. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the companys financial strategy, driving business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, along with a track record of building and leading high-performance finance teams. The candidate will be required to work on-site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the companys financial strategy, aligning it with overall business goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and senior leadership team to guide business decisions and drive company growth.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to ensure the companys financial stability and growth.
  • Oversee M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition financial strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage financial relationships, including banks, investors, and external auditors.
  • Optimize financial processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the companys expansion initiatives, including new market entry and large-scale construction projects.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, ideally within the construction industry or a similar field.
  • Expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing M&A activities, including financial due diligence and post-merger integration.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience in construction project financial management is highly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Base salary ranging from $250,000 to $285,000 per year, depending on experience.
